  1. Understand the principles of seismology and ground-motion measurement

  2. Refine the requirements of the mechanical/analogue system
  3. Refine the requirements of the software system
  4. Implement the analogue system on a breadboard with prototyping components, and develop the data acquisition and user interface on a Raspberry Pi
  5. Test and verification
  6. Validation
